Remyca U18's won the Liverpool County FA U18's Cup last night in a tough encounter with Waterloo Dock at the splendid Walton Hall Park Facility.  In a game packed with incidents and talking points.  Remyca went ahead in the first half with a great goal from Ewan McKevitt which was the way it stayed until half time number one.  We say half time number one as after the players went in at the break they shortly came back out again when the referee realised that only 40 minutes had been played in the half, so the sides came out to play another five minutes before half time number two arrived!

In the second half, Waterloo Dock were strong but benefitted from some fortune shortly after the break when they were awarded a penalty for a challenge that was clearly outside the box but despite the frustration the young charges got on with it.  The Dock no9 who had a good game throughout did despatch a good penalty although the keeper' did make contact with it but the power on it was just too much.

Dock applied a lot of pressure but Remyca kept their heads up in a physical game and their composure told when as the game approached the end, Danny Jones fired home a winning goal to the delight of the hearty Remyca support.  The side has had a great season, finishing second in the table and are now cup winners of a major competition.  A massive well done to Garry Brookes, his coaching staff and to all of the players who have had a massive season and represented Remyca with pride.

Deserved winners, Well done guys!
