Chadderton 1 - 1 First Team (away)
K.O. 15:00 27th August 2016Remyca looking to get back to winning ways after the poor performance and defeat at Home to St Helens started very well with a fast pace tempo having Chadderton on the back foot from the off. Early shots from Quirk and Boyle testing the home side keeper very early on and keeping Chadderton pegged back early on. Again good work from Boyle down the right and a cross into the box saw a header from Foley blocked by the centre half. It took 35 minutes of pressure before Remy eventually opened the scoring when Boyle went on a run and pulled the ball back to Quirk who struck his shot low into the bottom corner to give the away side a deserved lead. They almost made it 2 shortly after when a shot from Boyle hit the underside of the keeper on onto the crossbar. Another chance before the break as Tyson hit a shot that was blocked on the line before the rebound also kick off the line from Foley. Just before the HT whistle Remyca had another shot kicked off the line to keep the score 1-0 in the visitors favour with Chadderton only having a couple of half chances on the break Remyca should have put the game to bed. HT 0-1
Second Half started in the same vain with the visitors domianting and restricting Chadderton to the odd breakaway but still remy could not make the territorial advantage pay off. They were made to pay on 65 minutes when a breakaway lead to a corner for the home side and the scuffed corner deflected to the Chadderton attacker who reated quickest to the ball and fired into the top corner to make it 1-1. Remyca presed back straight away and a fierce shot from Aliu crashed against the bar before being cleared upfield. Remyca again pressed this time the home side keeper making two great saves to keep the scoreline 1-1. In the end not a bad point but with the chances created the Managers thoughts will be 2 points dropped.
