Remyca struggeld at a windswept LSP as they were defeated 2-1 by St Helens Town. The game got under waywith Remyca as favourites for the game having been unbeaten in the first 3 gamesand played well in the 3 gameswith St Helens losing there last game 4-2 at home to Sanbach, 48 hours earlier

The game got off to a difficult start for Remy as kepper Lee Carroll looked out of sorts at the away side pressed early doors and it wasnt long before the pressure told as Sam Sheen scored after just 6 minutes for the visitors.Remyca did seem to find their feet after 15 minutes but still looked slightly dis-jointed, missing the flowing football from the previous 3 games. There was hope on 30 minutes when Remy pressure saw a couple of shots on goal a speculitive shot came of a hand to give Remy a penalty. Up stepped Quirk to tuck it into the corner. Both sides huffed and puffed until HT without much goal action. HT 1-1

In the second half Remy struggled again with their passing and seemed limited to long shots and no real pressure on the visitors goal. The closest Remy came was a cross from Flynn found Quirk whose shot was well saved by Towns Keeper. St Helens looked strong going forward and on 70 minutes Andy Gillespie broke in the box to score and make it 2-1 to the visiting team.It became a very scrappy last 20 minutes as the home side pressed but could not find a way past the St Helens defence and keeper. A disapointing perfomance in all from the 1st minute and the visiting team fully deserved the 3 points.
